About Scuba.mba

You learned to dive long before you learned to run a business.

That is true for most people who own dive shops. You are great in the water. Nobody taught you pricing, cash flow, hiring, or how to fill the slow season. You learned by doing, and by making the kind of mistakes that decide whether a shop survives.

Scuba.mba is the business education we think the dive industry should have.

We take the best ideas from modern business thinking and put them in plain language you can use, and we always point you at one thing you can do today.

What we believe

  • Your dive shop is a business. Running it like one is most of the game.
  • Good business advice is plain, specific, and easy to act on.
  • The goal is never more reading. The goal is one change you make on Monday.

What we don't do

We don't teach diving. We don't review gear. We don't write travel guides or features about marine life. The training agencies and DAN handle safety and skills, and we link to them.

Our job is the part almost nobody teaches you: the business behind the dives.

Who we are

Scuba.mba is written by people who have worked both sides of this industry. We have run sales and marketing for liveaboards and resorts. We have also worked the booking platforms that sell to them.
